Marie Antoinette Sexy Adult Plus-Size Halloween Costume Size 16-18 X-Large (XL) (D48249-4)(DF24)

Marie Antoinette Sexy Adult Plus-Size Halloween Costume Size 16-18 X-Large (XL) includes: Dress, stockings, headpiece and fan.

In a more innocent era, many of us have very fond memories of the camaraderie and friendships we developed as we met to go Halloweening. It was often our pleasant task to look after our younger siblings on their first Halloween outing. We managed this quite skillfully while assuring that they received their fair share of the Halloween loot.

In later years, it became necessary for us to check what they had received to be sure their goodies had not been impaled with hidden razor blades, sharp pins or dangerous substances. Life was no longer innocent. Halloween became fraught with danger for the young and innocent.
This poem was written for an earlier time, a more innocent time, a more trusting time.

Gremlins, Goblins, Ghouls, Ghosts.
Pirates, Spacemen, quite a host.
Down the street they come with glee.
Can I count them, let me see.
Up the sidewalk to my door
Come trick or treaters that's for sure.
Try not to smile. It's quite a feat.
When they shout, "Trick or Treat!"
One of them, quite small at best.
Shivers and shudders unlike the rest.
Down on one knee I must go.
Just to let this youngster know.

"I seem a giant. To you quite tall.
Standing here in my hall.
I've let you in, have no fear.
It's treat I'll give you. Now dry your tear.
And this message will you give
Once with me a child did live
Who feared to dress in costumes neat
So she could seek out trick or treat
Yet she grew as you will do
And shivvers not when ghosts shout, 'Boo'!
So show no fear, you've passed a test.
Now off you go with the rest."

Millions of people throughout the world have hobbies to help them relax after a long day of work. One hobby that has risen in popularity is candle making.

Candle making has become sort of an art form. Each person has their own ideas and designs for candles, and each candle has the potential of becoming a work of art, if only to its creator.

Candle making is not difficult, however if you are creating something that will become a focal point of a room, you want it to be perfect. The great thing about candle making is that if you make a mistake, you can melt the candle and start all over again.

Candle Making Kits Are Great

Candle making kits are great for first timers to introduce yourself to candle making. Candle making kits will show you the basic steps and techniques when you have the basic knowledge of how to make candles, you will be able to create candles that are stunning.

The first step in candle making is to protect your work surface from melted wax. Covering with newspaper or heavy plastic will insure that your workspace is kept clean.

You do not need elaborate tools to create wonderful candles. A roasting pan and a thermometer will work just as well as all of the fancy equipment that can be quite expensive.

Candle making kits can become a way to spend quality time with your children. However, it is very important that they are supervised at all times to avoid any accidents that may occur.

Safety First

Melting wax is relatively easy, however little fingers may try to test it. Make sure that you advise your children that although the melted wax may smell good, it is extremely hot and they could get serious injuries if they try to touch it.

Dyes and fragrances for candles are available at craft stores throughout the country. It is important that you add the dye slowly to the melted wax and wait for it to dissolve completely. Adding colors one at a time will allow you to determine which colors work with each other the best.

It is very important that you watch the wax very carefully when it is melting. If the heat is too high, it will burn the wax. If melting wax begins to smoke, remove it from the heat immediately, being very careful not to spill any on your skin. If this should happen, do not wipe it off. You could spread it cause more serious burns. Instead, run it under cold water until the wax hardens and it should fall right off.

Once you have poured your wax into your molds, it will need twenty-four hours or more to cool and harden completely. Once the candle has set up, it is time to decorate.

Add Personality To Your Candle Making

Choosing the right pattern for your candle is the most creative part of candle making. If you want to add a splash of color, try melting your favorite colored crayon for a vibrant look to your candle.

You can use just about anything from stencils to non-flammable beads to create works of art. You are limited only by your imagination.

If you choose to create scented candles, adding crushed herbs will give a pleasant scent that will last as long as the candle itself. Candle making kits come with complete instructions on how to create the perfect candle. They are easy to follow and can be used in any setting.

Candle Making Kits are great fun and also make for an interesting past time by yourself or with your family. Learn even more about candle making kits at. Types of Candles.com

Bob the Builder-Bob Child Costume

This Deluxe Bob the Builder Toddler Costume includes a printed checker shirt, blue overalls, yellow construction hat, tool belt with hammering sound box, wrench, screwdriver, and hammer. Now you can take over Bob the Builder's good deads and help out around the house!
Customer Review: Very pleased
I bought this custom for my 3 year old son for Halloween and he loved it. The belt makes noise and the tools come off the belt for play. Even though Halloween is over, he still brings it out to put on and play with.
Customer Review: Happy with purchase because I knew what I was getting
My 4 1/2 year old son is very happy and excited about this costume. He enjoys the hard hat and tool belt even without "dressing up" in the shirt and overalls. As a parent, I too am pleased with the costume. It is roomy enough to layer clothing underneth for trick or treating. I had no illusions about what kind of fabric the costume would be made of (very thin felt-like fabric) and therefore am pleased with quality and price.

When planning a kids party many parents ask me for help in the food department. Modern parents are more health conscious these days and worry about our growing epidemic; obesity in children epidemic. They naturally have concerns about sugars and preservatives and of course the ever growing list of serious allergies.

Naturally I always stress the importance of thinking it through and not just hitting the supermarket and loading up the trolley with whatever catches your eye. Kids will always eat exactly what we wish they wouldn't and are subject to clever advertising just as much if not more so than us adults.

But one of my favourite solutions for the food challenged parent is what I simply refer to as a food bag. What I am referring to here is a method of providing the party goers with their food in pre prepared packages. These packages can be takeaway style boxes; available at most good party supplies stores, inexpensive baskets; available from the local discount store or just the good old paper bag, which is in fact my personal package of choice.

Brown paper lunch bags work great, providing they have a flat base, but you can also purchase fancier ones in a variety of colours from a craft store. Either works well, just make sure they have a flat bottom as this makes it much easier to line up on the kitchen counter when filling them up.

By choosing this method you can control portion sizes, prevent greedy snatching and even more importantly cater for individual needs such as allergies without having to subject the entire guest list to the same restrictions. On top of that you get to save on costs by reducing wastage, remove the need for paper plates and serving bowls, AND reduce the cleaning up time in a big way, a very attractive thought I'm sure.

Adult's Purple Grapes Halloween Costume

So you've eventually made it and can now be considered an adult with all of the benefits it entails. For years you have waited for this day and now, at long last, it has arrived and you want to go and have the biggest party possible to celebrate.

We have a few great ideas that we think you will enjoy and that will help prove your party actually happened after the time (even if you don't remember it). Let's begin with brainstorming your party.

First of all, though, a word of warning - if you are going to be drinking then be sure to appoint a non-drinking driver and don't over-do it. Remember there is such a thing as alcohol poisoning.

Ideas for 21st Birthday Parties

  • 21st Birthday Party Themes Suggestion 1:
    The Bar Hop: You've been looking forward to this day for a while now, haven't you? The day when you can legally drink and start the traditional bar hopping practice. So appoint that driver, get together lots of cash and get ready for a great cultural experience (yeah, right!)
  • 21st Birthday Party Themes Suggestion 2:

    Bring it On: If you want a more memorable 21st birthday party then think about what else being an adult means - maturity, responsibility, etc. Think about some great adventure that only adults can handle and go for it - this may be rock climbing (not that climbing wall either, the really big rocks), sky diving or some other adventure pursuit. Push your limits, have great fun and be able to remember it afterwards.

Birthday Party Invitations

Ok, this one is a little different. You've probably already decided on what you are going to do for your party and it is now time to put together those invitations. Now writing out invitations and posting them is just so old-school and boring! You want something that is not only mature but also young and funky, like you. So here's another great idea - create a 21st birthday party invitation online.

We've all heard of social networking, right? It's new and it's happening and it can be a great way to tell your friends about your 21st birthday party themes and get them talking. There is a new website just launched specifically for this purpose - social media websites like Events listed are designed for this and they offer over 60 multimedia applications that will help you create the perfect event page at the Events Listed website for you; something that reflects who you are as well as what you plan to do at your party.

Put up a web page with your photos, play your favorite music in the background and maybe even add some video or other content to spice up your page; just don't forget to include details about the party so that people can come. You will also want to encourage your friends to mingle online and so why not stimulate some conversation around your party theme - what are the best bars in town? A trivia quiz about the area where you will go rock climbing?

Once you have set up your web page, send out those emails with a link to the page to all your friends and everyone you want to invite so that they can see it. They will love it - you can even have their pictures next to their names and they will be able to see who else is coming, who is not coming or who has not responded.

And once the party is over, the web page is still there and you can go back and add more photos, write little notes about the party and keep people talking about the great time they had.

Make your party a real blast and then make sure you remember it for many years afterwards by signing up for a free account with Events Listed 21st Birthday Party Themes and creating your own online invitation now.

Adult Men's Gilligan Halloween Costume

What kind of popular costumes should you consider? Here are four different options for those seeking hot Halloween Costumes.

1. Celebrity Costumes

We live in a celebrity-obsessed culture. If you want to find a hot costume, look no further than whoever is gracing the covers of the checkout line magazines. You don't need to be a dead-ringer for your favorite celebrity to pull this off, either. Hot Halloween costumes are often based on movie characters, for instance. You might not look like the star of your favorite superhero flick, but you can certainly show up in his costume.

2. Political Costumes

The news is on everyone's mind and that makes political figure costumes a hot pick, too. Plus, there's nothing we seem to enjoy more than poking fun at our elected officials. You can always find a mask of noted political figures. Combine it with a suit and tie (or a pantsuit for the ladies) and you're in business. It's hard to say if anyone can really grow up to be the President, but it's absolutely true that anyone can look like a leader for one night.

3. Issue Costumes

If you have a pet issue that you'd like to advance, Halloween might be a good time to do it. These costumes can be tough to pull off unless you have a real creative streak, but when they work well, they can be some of the best hot Halloween costumes.

4. Naughty Halloween Costumes

If you want to know what the most popular hot Halloween costumes have been over the past few years, here's a clue: they often involve short skirts and high heels. Naughty Halloween costumes have been a growing trend. From sexy spins on the classics (think naughty witch) to slightly adult versions of everyday occupations (the sexy construction worker comes to mind), there are literally hundreds of options in this category.

If you're tired of the classics, this might be the perfect year to don hot Halloween costumes. You have countless choices at your disposal and there's sure to be something that will work for you.

Women's Plus Size 70s Disco Halloween Costume

For those of us who are looking for quick weight loss, Halloween can be a scary experience! While just one night of indulgence in Halloween candy might not be enough to break your belt, dipping into the leftover stockpile for weeks on end will surely derail your diet or weight loss program.

In 1921, in Anoka, MN, the United States enjoyed our first recorded instance of a Halloween celebration. Annual candy consumption has climbed almost unabated since then. According to the Census Bureau, Americans eat nearly a half-pound of candy each week for an average of 25 pounds of candy a year. Candy is big business, with the United States boasting 1,040 manufacturing establishments producing chocolate and cocoa products in 2001. These establishments employed 45,913 people and shipped $12 billion worth of goods that year. Another 616 U.S. establishments manufactured non-chocolate confectionery products in 2001. These establishments employed 26,400 people and shipped $7 billion worth of goods that year (source: census.gov).

The overwhelming popularity of the South Beach Diet, Zone Diet, and Atkins Diet has prompted low-carb weight watchers to eat less candy. Overall consumption has actually declined over the last few years; as recently as 1997 the average annual candy consumption was a sky-high 27 pounds.

-> The Problem:

Most people on a diet plan or weight control program look at candy as little brightly-colored fat bombs. That assessment isnt far off the mark, either, with most candy packing little nutritional value and a ton of calories.

Some of the more popular Halloween candy has too many calories to be included in any healthy diet:

* Twizzlers 1 treat size pkg.= 45 calories

* Almond Joy 1 snack size bar = 90 calories

* Milk Duds 1 treat size box = 40 calories

* Butterfinger 1 snack size bar = 100 calories

* Milky Way 1 snack size bar = 90 calories

* SweetTarts 1 treat size pkg. = 50 calories

* 1 Tootsie Pop 1 pop = 60 calories

* 1 Tootsie Roll 1 small roll = 13 calories

Note: Calorie content is based on 1 serving of Halloween snack or fun size packages, not full size servings found in the candy aisle.

While just a few pieces of Halloween candy wont obliterate your diet program or weight loss plan, its the temptation to keep having just one more that will pack on the pounds. It only takes nine small fun-size candy bars to put on a quarter-pound of fat. Besides candy, Halloween threatens many other high-calorie treats like Caramel apples (243 calories), 8-oz. apple cider and a cake donut (319 calories), or a slice of pumpkin pie (240 calories).

-> The Solution:

Is it possible to cope with the menace of Halloween candy without taking all the fun out of the holiday? Absolutely! If youre looking for fast weight loss, and dont want Halloween to bring your fat loss to a screeching halt, consider these healthy Halloween tips:

1) Walk with your kids while theyre trick-or-treating. A 165-lb. woman strolling along (walking slowly) for one hour will burn approximately 150 calories (source: caloriesperhour.com).

2) Out of sight, out of mind. When the kids have unloaded their stash, store it in an airtight container and put it in the cupboard. A bowl full of candy on the counter is an open invitation to have just one, but a stockpile you cant see is less tempting.

3) If youre going to give out candy to trick-or-treaters on Halloween, dont buy it until October 31st. Having a candy supply in the house before Halloween only entices you to have some early.

4) If you must buy candy before Halloween, buy a kind you dont like. Again, this will reduce the temptation for you to dig in.

5) Hosting a Halloween party? Supply vegetables, healthy dips, and low fat snacking alternatives instead of candy.

6) Set a Halloween candy deadline by which all Halloween candy must be either consumed (by the kids) or it will be thrown away. Saving that candy for weeks, or even months, only keeps temptation in the house.

7) Put more emphasis on dressing up in a great costume, and less on candy. This is especially true for the kids, who often view Halloween as a candy free-for-all dream come true.

8) By hosting a party on Halloween night, you can control the menu and have fun with friends at the same time.

9) Focus on Halloween activities other than eating. There are lots of options available, from hayrides to haunted houses to bonfires.

10) Candy has a long shelf life, and theres no reason why you couldnt put some of it in airtight bags and store it in the freezer. Allow the kids to take out one bag every two weeks until its gone. This tactic will at least space out the temptation and minimize candy binge eating.

Of course, the absolute best way to avoid weight gain, and perhaps even achieve some easy weight loss, during the Halloween season is to bump up the amount of exercise youre getting. Theres no better way to lose weight fast than a healthy diet and regular exercise.

Make sure the workout youre doing includes both aerobic and resistance training, as it is critical to get both types of exercise to maximize weight loss. Its also important to exercise for at least thirty minutes, three times per week, which is the most recent recommendation by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (source: cdc.gov).

A fantastic strategy is to find the best weight loss program for you now, before Halloween hits. The reason is that the last three months of the year are packed with holidays, special dinners and seasonal treats. Starting with Halloween candy and ending with Christmas fudge, many people find that theyre packing on more pounds during this period than they do any other time of year.

Joining a gym is an excellent way to combat Halloween and holiday weight gain. Finding a good gym to join now will not only help keep off those holiday pounds, but will even make you slimmer by New Years.

As a little girl I often loved to dress up as a gypsy, whether it was for Halloween or just for play. Maybe it's because I long to be free to do as I want and go where I wish, without the societal constraints we have to live by (that's why pirates are so fascinating to people too). Whatever it is, creating a fortune teller costume was the highlight of Halloween.

Back then there weren't many places to buy fancy costumes (nor did we have the money), so putting my own costume together was a bit of a challenge. Today we can purchase practically any costume we can think of and there are some pretty nice fortune teller Halloween costumes to choose from.

** A Brief History of Gypsy Costumes **

The gypsy people were called Roma or Romani. They are made up of loose nomadic tribes that wandered much of the European countries during the Middle Ages and often lived in caravans. There are still nomadic gypsies in the world today.

In the 15th and 16th centuries, the basic dress of the woman was a simple robe gathered at the neck worn over an under gown made of chemise. They also wore a length of cloth which was draped down the back, around the opposite waist, up the front and tied at the shoulder (think Roman toga). A turban was worn on the head.

As time went on, fashions changed. For the most part, gypsies actually dressed very similar to the peasants of the area in which they traveled and cultural dress of the time. Most of the style of gypsy clothing that we picture today probably came from the Renaissance period when laced vests, flounced skirts, men's breeches and pirate shirts were more popular.

** Making a Gypsy Halloween Costume **

For those that want to put together their own gypsy costume or are planning on being a "fortune teller" for Halloween this year, you may have to do a bit of shopping around at used clothing stores for some items. If you are handy with a sewing machine, there are many fortune teller costume patterns available as well. Here are some suggestions for both men and women (and boys/girls) that can easily be created once you get all the items:

Women/Girl's Fortune Teller/Gypsy Outfit 1

* Long tired skirt in a bright color.

* Gypsy style shirt - gathered scooped neck, puffy sleeves gathered at the wrist or long wide flowing sleeves

* Brightly colored front-laced vest

* Black leotard stockings

* Black shoes

* Brightly colored sash for the waist

* Matching bandana for hair

* Gold hoop earrings and some long, colorful beaded necklaces, bangles for arms

Women/Girl's Fortune Teller/Gypsy Outfit

* Long wide-flowing black skirt

* White peasant's shirt

* Black front-laced vest

* Black stockings

* Black shoes

* Brightly colored apron or a shorter overskirt

* Long black wig with tight ringlets or curls

* Colored 2" to 3" wide headband

* Gold hoop earrings and some long, colorful beaded necklaces, bangles for arms

Men/Boys Gypsy/Pirate Costume

* Black or brown breeches

* Black boots

* White pirate shirt

* Long-length black or brown vest preferably trimmed with a gold-colored braiding

* Red or another colorful long scarf for the sash at the waist

* Colorful bandana

* One gold hoop earring

Let your imagination run wild with the colors and styles you could mix and match. The trick is to dress in layers and use clothing that is loose and flowing. Add jewelry like bangles, long flowing necklaces, large earrings and ankle bracelets to enhance your outfit. Use colorful sashes accent the waist (and also to hold daggers). Women could drape several sheer scarves from their waist to hang down in points around a solid colored skirt. Include headbands, bandanas and even eye patches for that gypsy pirate look. Purples, blues, greens, bright yellows, reds and blacks are the most popular colors and will make your outfit stand out.
