I bought this for my 2 month old and he looked really cute in it. It is made as well as I would think a costume is. I would recommend this for very little ones(under 6 months) I don't think a baby over that could stand to be in it. When I got this it was size 0-9 months in size...
Star Wars is an excellent choice for Halloween costumes. Kids absolutely love the Star Wars universe, and the new Clone Wars film has only served to remind them of how cool it would be if they were Luke, Darth Vader, Princess Leia, Princess Amidala, Yoda or any number of other great Star Wars characters. Playing out their dreams of being swashbuckling heroes like Hans Solo, or Jedi masters like Yoda, the potential for fun is limitless.
Character Choices for a Star Wars Halloween Costume
Popular character choices from Star Wars include Yoda, the funny looking little green alien who is the head of the Jedi council and the most powerful Jedi of all; Princess Leia, the government official who gets involved in all kinds of adventures along with her brother Luke Skywalker who is the hero of the original three films and defeated the evil Emperor.
Other choices for a more evil look are Jabba the Hutt, the giant space slug who runs a mafia; Darth Vader, the menacing man in black who is always masked and holds some of the most dangerous powers; and the young Anakin Skywalker who is corrupted during his childhood by the forces of evil and grows up into Darth Vader.
All of these characters would be excellent costume choices, as they have distinctive designs and are instantly recognisable. I have found some great Star Wars costumes available for these popular characters online, and they are a great choice for a Halloween or any fancy dress party.
Star Wars Halloween Costumes Available
There are some excellent choices for purchase online including:
- A complete Hans Solo costume which includes boots, trousers, a shirt, and waistcoat
- A Yoda costume which includes his brown and green robes, and in some cases a mask of Yoda's head
- A Darth Vader costume with full black jumpsuit and attached boots, a cape, and the trademark mask.
- The Princess Leia costumes come with the all-white dress and belt which she wears, as well as a wig mimicking her unusual hair-style.
- A Chewbacca outfit comes with a top and trousers which have the image of fur printed onto them, as well as a mask of the creature's face.
Important Costume Accessories
Costumes should include all the important icons which make each character so distinct. Taking a few examples from those listed, this means that Yoda needs to have green skin and be old-looking, and should have stubby green feet (no shoes). Like all the Jedi he carries a lightsabre, something essential also to Darth Vader, Anakin, and Luke Skywalker. Dressing as Darth Vader will require the very distinctive helmet and mask worn at all times. Black gloves would also be necessary to complete the look. Going as Hans Solo you would need to carry the laser hand-gun which he has with him at all times. Chewbacca should carry some sort of crossbow-like weapon, whilst Princess Leia may also carry a laser pistol similar to Hans Solo.
With all of these features in place the costumes should look fantastic, and everyone will have a great time pretending to be their favourite characters from the films!
