Newborn Baby Pea in The Pod Halloween Costume, 0-6 Months

Customer Review: Cheap
This costume was awful. Thank God we had a backup costume. The peas tear off easy and the fabric was very itchy. I hightly don't recomend this for any baby.
Customer Review: Pea Pod
I bought this for my 2 month old and he looked really cute in it. It is made as well as I would think a costume is. I would recommend this for very little ones(under 6 months) I don't think a baby over that could stand to be in it. When I got this it was size 0-9 months in size...

Have you started your holiday shopping? What are you going to get for that hard to please person on your list?

Haven't even begun? Well, you're not alone.

With only a few more weeks left, now is the time to get serious about your gift list. But, how are you supposed to come up with something original once again for someone who has been on your list for years and years?

You've already done the hot air balloon ride that you thought would be such a wonderful idea for your parents. Of course, ten years later they did admit to you that they were not quite brave enough to actually get in the basket. So, lo and behold, another fabulous gift idea - or what you thought was a fabulous and unique gift-was not used and the money was wasted.

How about the incredible gift basket you got for Uncle Bill two years ago? It had at least ten kinds of nuts in it. Oops, you didn't know he was allergic to nuts, did you?

That homemade fruitcake didn't go over very well, did it? The dog wouldn't even eat it.

And, how about that person - or most of the people on your list-who seem to already have absolutely everything they could possibly need or want?

So, what ARE you going to do? Procrastinating truly is NOT going to help. The problem will only get bigger.

How about you step back from the commercialized version of the holidays and instead really think about what the holidays mean to you and how you can make them just a little more meaningful for your family and friends. This year, make personalized gifts, something made by you specifically for your family, friends, relatives or teachers.

The Internet is full of free personalized gift ideas like the ones on this site. You can also go to Google and just type in "free personalized gift idea" or "free personalized gift ideas for (fill in the blank)".

Take a few minutes to look online. Not only will you be pleasantly surprised at the many options you'll find, you'll also feel great when you see the look on the face of the people you give handmade, personalized gifts to. Especially in today's fast paced world, a homemade heartfelt gift DOES mean a lot.

Marie Stark is a mom who knows how tough it can be to come up with the perfect gift for everyone. If you're still looking for a gift for Dad, check out this neat idea at 15 Reasons I Love My Dad.

CHILD S.W.A.T. Team Costume

S.W.A.T. - The Special Forces of Police! Kids love to be the Good Guy, and coming out the winner in this costume is an age old favorite!
Customer Review: A great toy after Halloween
My son begged for this costume and he loved it--it is not durable nor are the toys quality (they are plastic) but he and his brother played with it all weekend! I like that the velcro does secure all the extra pieces quite well--we did not lose a single piece while out trick or treating-and the helmet was fun-but not big enough to strap on. Hence, the 4 star review.
Customer Review: CHEAP, CHEAP, CHEAP
I fail to understand why we, the public, continue to be charged more for products while the products are more and more poorly made! Save your money on this one. It is not only made with cheap material, it is also sized wrong. Irritated Mema

Batman is back, and he's bigger and better than ever. The new series of films featuring the caped crusader himself has seen countless new fans flock to his adventures in print, but with the world of comics being such a daunting prospect to a newcomer, it is easy to get stuck on what to read first. There are many decades worth of Batman reading to be enjoyed, but what are the moist important stories? What has had a lasting impact on the character and his mythos outside of the medium of the big screen? Here we take a look at ten essential titles in the Batman pantheon

THE KILLING JOKE

Widely considered to be the finest Batman story ever created, The Killing Joke was written by comics legend Alan Moore and featured art from Brian Bolland. Offering a possible origin for the character of the Joker, it is highly regarded as pone of the finest graphic novels ever published, and also was the basis for some of the storyline in The Dark Knight.

KNIGHTFALL VOLUMES 1-3

This notorious three volume tale tells the story of Batman's protg, Azrael, taking over the mantle of Batman when Bruce Wayne's back is broken by the murderous Bane. Azrael, as a new batman, goes too far and ends up insane, leaving it up to Bruce to work himself back to health and face him down in a clash of the batmen. A classic.

HUSH VOLUMES 1 AND 2

A very strong mystery story involving the enigmatic killer Hush, this two-book story was one of the biggest hits in recent years for DC comics. Hush is intent on Sabotaging Batman's reputation. A thrilling story, told with style.

A DEATH IN THE FAMILY

A classic of 1980s Batman, and one of the Milestones in modern comics history. The Joker succeeds in killing Robin, who dies in Batman's arms, and thus the chase is on for vengeance. But will batman actually take the Joker's life?

ARKHAM ASYLUM

An extremely disturbing piece of graphic literature, Arkham Asylum: A Serious House on Serious Earth was written by Grant Morrison and illustrated by the renowned Dave McKean. Telling the stories of the inmates of the titular asylum as they take the place over and stage a siege, it has been a strong seller ever since its release in 1989.

THE LONG HALLOWEEN

By Jeph Loeb and Tim Sale, The Long Halloween features the Falcone character that was seen in the film Batman Begins, and follows his story to its comics conclusion. It also covers the transition of Batman's foes from mobsters and gangsters to actual supervillains in detail.

DARK VICTORY

From comics luminaries Jeph Loeb and Time Sale comes this 14 issue tale (Brought together into a much loved graphic novel), is the sequel to The Long Halloween. Featuring Two-face, this is a noir-ish murder mystery following Batman on the trail of a serial killer who is offing police officers in Gotham.

WAR GAMES

This is an epic story told over three volumes, which crossed over the whole family of Batman related DC comics titles. A tale of batman trying to end a vicious gang war, it one of the most hard-hitting Batman stories of recent years.

BRUCE WAYNE: MURDERER?

When Bruce discovers the dead body of his girlfriend, Vesper Fairchild, in Wayne Manor, the police arrive and charge him with her murder! The other Batman characters are unable to work out the mystery, and thus Bruce breaks out of jail and vows to just live as Batman until the case is solved.

BRUCE WAYNE: FUGITIVE

The story that began with Bruce Wayne: Murderer concludes with a frantic tale of Batman and his colleagues piecing the facts together and discovering a conspiracy to discredit him forever as a murderer, with a surprising culprit behind the whole thing...

These are amongst the most seminal works of the Batman's adventures in comics, and are a must for the bookshelf of any fan of the character or the medium. Captured in these pages is the essence of one of the most recognizable icons in all of popular culture. With more feature films on the way in this new series, there seems to be no stopping the Dark Knight in his battle against crime. This is a good thing, as we always need a hero, even one with so many troubles.

As the Christmas season approaches, we get excited and energized to decorate our home inside and out with lights, bulbs, wreaths, evergreen, candles, garland, and Christmas trees. We enjoy the lights that adorn our home all throughout the Holidays. At the end of the Holiday season though, most people dread the task of dismantling all of the decorations and storing them away until the next year. Why not use keep your Christmas lights up year round?

The winter months following the holidays can be a bit of a let down after visiting with loved ones, enjoying delicious foods and hot drinks, and having the beautiful colors of lights and decorations surrounding us over the holidays. The months of January, February and March can be rather dreary as far as the weather is concerned, so why not bring warmth and light to your home both inside and outside with the mini lights you bought for December?

A fireplace mantel always looks beautiful adorned with white mini lights or white LED Christmas lights, no matter what the season. These lights could be used to decorate for holidays throughout the year simply by changing out the themed decorations around the lights. For the times in between, for a neutral theme, simply use photographs of family, pottery, vases, mirrors, or candles along with the mini LED light sets.

Following the holidays, use white mini LED light sets throughout the house to bring warmth and an inviting glow to every room.

  • Bedrooms look great with mirrors outlined with white mini lights
  • The dining room sideboard or hutch is softly illuminated using our battery operated mini lights or mini LED light sets
  • Illuminate the tops of your kitchen cabinets and highlight your favorite collection of collector items, dishes, pottery, or wrought iron pieces using mini LED light sets
  • Bathrooms are an ideal place to rejuvenate. Our mini light sets are perfect for outlining your mirror and creating an atmosphere of relaxation.
  • Artificial trees, topiaries, and antique trunks are the perfect canvases for using lights of your choosing in any room, foyer, or hallway of the house.
  • Don't forget the basement or game room. Use our larger C6, C7, or even C9 light sets to outline the ceiling of the finished basement, game room, billiard room, or home theatre.
  • Use C7 and C9 bulbs and cords outside on shrubs, trees, porches, outbuildings, walkways, and gardens for year round illumination.

Use mini light sets in every color to celebrate holidays throughout the year. Highlight red lights for Valentine's and Sweetest Day, use yellow, pink, purple, and green lights for Easter, and green for St. Patrick's Day. Our multi-color lights are perfect for birthdays, cookouts, family reunions, or Mardi Gras parties.

Instead of dreading the end of the holiday season, make the transition into the winter months much easier and less labor intensive by using your light sets all year round. These are just a few ways to bring light to the rooms of your home for year round sparkle.

Evil Jester Costume Adult

Includes a double knit polyester shirt and matching pants, waist sash, headpiece and mask. Available in adult sizes Medium and Large.
Customer Review: Not quite like the photo in advertisement (as usual)
My main reason for returning this costume was the mask & headpiece. The mask is NOT white as shown, but is a "dingy yellowish" white that looks awful with the red/black costume. A white mask like the one pictured would have looked excellent in contrast to the red/black. The headpiece doesn't stay in place, especially the "points" on top - they flip flop all over the place due to the design and being VERY sparingly stuffed with polyfill. The little plastic skulls on the ends of them are too heavy and weigh them down (design flaw). Also, be aware that the black gloves are not included. I already knew this prior to purchasing, but just wanted to make a note of it for those who weren't aware of it.
Customer Review: Cheap
Very cheap. The head part kept falling over. Don't buy unless you want to be annoyed. Vendor was great! Arrive quickly.

Making your Halloween decorations more creative is something we all wish we could do, and this article will give you a great example which will surely spur your own creativity. Every Halloween, my sister and my neighbor compete to see who can turn their home into the spookiest haunted house. This year, they were both surprised when my nephew put them all to shame with his own version!

He put together several themed rooms, and then unified the rest of the house to make it all seamlessly creepy. He did this using spider webs, (don't worry, they were fake), and placing them everywhere, including on the stairs! He also strategically attached plastic bats to the corners in various rooms; in fact he even hung one from the family room chandelier. Then, he took a few paper skeletons and artistically affixed them to the walls so that they looked like they were caught in action. One of them was placed in such a way that it looked like it was walking into my sister's bedroom. Another appeared to be peeking out from the basement door. But my favorite skeleton was the one that you saw upon entering the house, he was grinning at you from behind the couch!

He also transformed their boring, everyday kitchen into a spooky witch's cooking spot. And what she's cooking you surely don't want to know! First, he a hung a paper cutout of a witch by the place where their mop was kept. Then he turned the mop into a witch's broom with some cleverly placed decoration. Finally he purchased and placed a sinister looking cauldron on the stove, so the witch could work on her potions. Something creepy was most certainly cooking in this kitchen!

Still, I have to say that my favorite room by far was that of my niece. Never would we have expected that this room could become a tribute to creepiness, as my niece is one the cutest little girls you would ever see, with the most extensive collection of adorable stuffed animals around. She has bunnies, kitty cats, teddy bears, and monkeys among others. My nephew cleverly decided to use those plush toys in his Halloween theme. Many of them he turned in to ghosts, using white handkerchiefs with holes poked for their eyes. He even secured them with a small strap so that it looked like they were hovering creepily. He utilized the natural devilishness of her stuffed raccoon, figuring that he already had a mask, so he'd just add a chain and plastic knife so it would truly look like he was up to no good. The rest of the animals he turned in to vampires. For example, my favorite one was a teddy bear that he dressed up with a black clothe for a "cape," and white fangs cut from paper. Teddy Dracula was born!

As you can see, with just a little bit of creativity you can turn your ordinary home into a true haunted house! Of course, my nephew won the decorating competition with his great ideas. We're all thrilled to see what he'll come up with next year, maybe this time my niece's teddy bears will become a gargoyle! I hope his example will inspire you to create your own creepy Halloween haunts! Remember, with just a little creativity you can turn your own home into something amazing.

If youd like some variety, something a little different, for your Halloween treating this year, consider these ideas:

1. McDonald's coupons. What child doesn't like McDonald's...enough said.

2. One older couple in our neighborhood gave out an unusual treat. They decorated their livingroom spookily and took a polaroid snapshot of each child posed in front of the decorations. The picture was the treat. Would you be surprised to learn the kids lined up down the sidewalk? It became so popular we neighbor parents contributed monetarily to their film packs. Note: this couple took great care to ensure children's safety and also to protect their own reputations. Their livingroom was located immediately off a large foyer. They kept their front door wide open. Their triple front window curtains were left open with bright lighting so nothing could be construed as improper. Finally, since a polaroid camera was used, no pictures were retained.

3. Treats from Oriental Trading Company. Instead of sugar decay, how about inexpensive toys instead? Yo-yo's, little dolls, funny eraser heads, the catalog and online store has lots of variety to select.

4. Perhaps in conjunction with an Oriental Trading Company purchase, set up a "duckie pond" similar to a county fair booth. Decide on groups of inexpensive prizes and number them - group 1, group 2, and so on. Get several little plastic duckies. With a permanent marker, write numbers on the bottom of the duckies to correspond with your prize groups. Have several numbers of the most inexpensive group, and only 1 or 2 special prizes of more value. Fill some type of large container with water and set the duckies afloat. If you're handy with dry ice, this would be a perfect touch for a Halloween duckie pond.

It can be just as fun to stay home and treat the little ones arriving at your door. By the way, will you greet them with treatsin a costume yourself?

1. Reduce owners pay to the extent they are receiving only what is necessary to live on - necessary means necessary - no fancy car payments and huge mortgages - the owner should be unloading these Unnecessary expenses. In reality, the owner should be the hardest hit here.If the owner has money in the bank to survive on, taking zero pay is a great option just to save one persons job. This is a temporary situation and we have to do what it takes to help our community get out of this recession.

2. Reduce product prices and take less of a profit - this will all depend on how greedy the owner is.At this time, we have to reduce prices to keep consumers spending. We all have to do our part. Our shop has reduced prices up to 80% and we give huge incentives for buying in bulk. We must keep the consumer from hording their money out of fear and encourage them to spend on fantasy products and products that make them smile.Let's keep our community from entering a deep depression state.

3. Review all expenses and eliminate fluff expenses - we all know what these are - eliminate them.

4. Create jobs if possible - have you had projects on the back burner for awhile that you know really should get done?Well, now is a good time to create a job for someone willing to do the work at a reasonable pay rate. These astronomical pay rates of the late 90's and early 2000's put stars in job seekers eyes, but that was not reality. This is reality.Your work is worth what others will pay for it.

5. Before laying anyone off, discuss across the board pay cuts - bring the company together - you are a working community - see what you can do to help each other, but do NOT create job LOSS.This does no-one any good.Find ways to keep the employees employed and if you really can't, then do what you can to help them find another job.Pretend they are your closest friend or family member in need and treat them the same way.

6. And for a bonus, number 6 is contribute more to a local charity.During these times, people tend to stop their charitable donations. It doesn't have to be money that you donate, it can be an hour of your time here or there. This one isn't just for the small business owner - everyone can do their part here and give their time, their material possessions, and their money to a good cause.

So there you have it, 6 - not 5 - things you can do to help your community out of this recession.Don't wait for a bailout from the government, these will not fix everything. We need to resolve this from the ground up.The government will do its' part, but you need to do yours as well.

Customer Review: Very Cute Very Short
This was a VERY cute costume, but VERY SHORT! The buttons came off before I left the house, but all in all it was very cute, and I received a lot of compliments.

Halloween is one of the most thrilling holidays of the year for many children as well as fun-loving adults. One of the most ultimate joys for young and old is decorating your home for Halloween. You can do it easily, by allowing your imagination lead the way and a good deal can be created within a tight budget, if needed. Pay close attention on how to decorate for the ultimate Halloween.

When you have children, you can use all those class Halloween projects. You can simply hang them about or even make a Halloween tree, similar to a Christmas or Easter tree. You can use construction paper for making jack-o-lanterns, bats, cats, witches, spiders and other ghoulish decorations to place around the house. Once they have created their paper decorations, use tape and sting to attach them for hanging.

Spooky sounds are wonderful for setting the mood. You might want to purchase a Halloween CD or make your own, using a tape recorder.

Lighting is essential for setting a Halloween atmosphere. You can use candles and jack-o-lanterns, however, do be sure to practice fire safety. You can use some of those plastic Christmas candles, either using the orange bulbs, or other colored lights, you can always cover the bottom with construction paper, aluminum foil or paint them. Black lights strategically placed adds an eerie feeling.

Making a Halloween dummy is simple and fun, by using some old clothes, boots a hat and some stuffing. Pose the dummy inside or out for the trick or treating children to see, they love taking a close up peek at such Halloween decorations. You might also consider some spider webs and spiders to hang out at your home as well during Halloween.

When decorating your yard for Halloween, you might want to consider allowing the grass to grow which will add to the appearance of the house being abandoned, then gather up some old looking wooden planks write some scary names upon them and then place them around the yard as grave markers. While preparing the graves, you might like to place a bit of dirt there as well to give it more of an appearance of being a grave, some people may consider using fertilizer to do this, however, fertilizer will actually burn the grass beneath it when there it is more than the grass actually needs.

Another interesting idea, if you have enough yard space, is to plant a corn maze, when the time is right, and then allow the corn to stand in place during Halloween, when the corn should already have begun to dry out, which provides a very scary appearance, not to mention that the rustling of the dried cornstalks when the wind blows adds that extra creepy sounds while traveling through a corn maze. If you decide to plant a corn maze to use during Halloween, you might consider also planting some well placed costumed individuals to hide within the maze, to scare some of the people traveling through the maze. However, you may want to try to be too scary when entertaining children and older people, so as not to upset anyone to badly.

Another great idea for decorating your yard for a Halloween party is to set up a bonfire and perhaps an effigy or two. Imagine tossing Freddie Kruger into the fire, or perhaps Jason or Michael. It's all in fun and it is the season! Have a blast getting ready for your Ultimate Halloween.
